Seth Thomas Regulator No. 2

Catalog Description:

Seth Thomas "Regulator No. 2", Ca 1920. Mahogany veneer case is 36.5 inches high, which in itself dates the clock after 1913. There is no veneer on the bezel, it was stained to match the rest of the case. It is a little rough where the veneer was scraped off. The 8-day movement is not signed, has not been out of the case that I can tell. I would service and change the weight cord as soon as possible. It has been in storage for several years. The original zinc dial is very good for its age, slightly dirty and has a little flake or two. The original screws, in the original holes, lead me to believe the clock has not been played with. All the brass; weight, bob, beat scale, pulley, and dial ring are all in good condition. For some reason the crutch has been extended, perhaps to fit a new stick. The clock is running despite these deficiencies. Most of the black label remains in the base. The ride from Oregon in a U-Haul trailer left some skinned places, but they should clean up fine. Ly-Seth Thomas, 2004 Edition, pages 276-277.
