Catalog Description:
Seth Thomas "Regulator No. 2", ca 1920. Mahogany veneer case is 36.5 inches high, overall in much better condition than No. 260A, the main difference is that the veneer is tight, no scrapes or patches. There are the usual nicks where Bubba bumped into door jams when carrying the clock. Everything looks to be original on this case, glasses, good zinc dial, weight, very nice damascened pendulum, beat scale, and the black label inside. The time only, 8-day movement has been in the case over 85 years, clean and running, and signed. There is a label and the dial is signed. This case showed signs of clocks sliding over each other on the ride from Oregon. I put some NuLife on the wood and it looks 100% better. There was no veneer damage. Very nice accessories, weight, pendulum, beat scale, pulley, and bezel ring. Ly-Seth Thomas, 2004 Edition, pages 276-277.
