Catalog Description:
C.1865, Seth Thomas, an Early "Regulator No. 2" in walnut, with side hung lead weight with baffle and uncommon tablet, 8-day. Condition: although there is a larger veneer chip in the outer bezel near 9, and a couple of small ones, the veneer is overall in very good condition. The original finish was removed from the clock some time ago, and there is just a light coat of shellac at this time. Great orig dial has one scrape under the super signature. Otherwise, this is an excellent original clock with good label, original mov't, hands, weight, pendulum and hardware. Note weight is tapered to miss the pendulum, attaches direct to the cord, which passes over case pulley. Case retains original flocked backboard. This early model rarely becomes available. Height 37.5 inches [94cm]
