Seth Thomas "Nashville", ca 1879, another of their early City Series clocks. The simple style case was poplar at that time. It was made of dark walnut with great graining. This case is all original, not cleaned or refinished, and has nickel accessories. Black label inside, nickel bell, dial rings, and pendulum. We "experts" say that the only Seth Thomas clocks with a star pendulum were the Nashville, New Orleans, and Fashion No. 3. We say that because those three were the only ones pictured in the trade catalogs with a star pendulum. This clock has the A movement, number "4 7/8", 8 day, striking the bell on each hour.
