Catalog Description:
Seth Thomas crystal regulator, "Empire No. 1000", ca 1909. This clock presents a challenge to some aspiring collector. The green onyx base is intact, 4 beveled glasses (2 tiny corner chips), beautiful porcelain dial with a garland of flowers around the inside of the numerals, minute ring outside the hour ring. Very nice 2 vial imitation mercury pendulum and a bright gold hanging gong. 8 day movement is running, strikes half hours. I could have sold the pendulum for 50 dollars, movement-dial for 100 dollars+, 4 beveled glasses for 100 dollars, gong for 25 dollars, empty case for 25-50 dollars, and netted about 300 dollars+. This is an opportunity for someone to restore the clock, sit it on a high shelf so you can't see the top, or sell all the parts.
