Seth Thomas crystal regulator "Empire No. 1000", ca 1909. Some good and not so good things to say about this clock. Beautiful porcelain dial with painted garland of flowers around the numbers. Polished gold bezel is bright; the gold on the body of the case is dull and dirty. 4 heavy beveled glasses, 2 with tiny corner chips. 2 vial, imitation mercury pendulum and a hanging gong still bright gold. The base is green onyx; top is a piece of onyx of another color. 8-day movement strikes gong on the half hours, and runs. Ly-Seth Thomas No.327.
